Frequently Asked Questions

Delivery & Frozen Condition

How are my pasties delivered?

All our pasties are dispatched frozen, packed in an insulated box with gel packs to keep them at a safe temperature during transit. We use a next-day courier service to minimise time in transit.

What should I do if my parcel arrives warm?

If your pasties feel soft or are no longer frozen solid on arrival, please do not consume them. Take a photo of the packaging and contents and contact us straight away. We will arrange a replacement or refund. As a general food-safety rule, do not refreeze any product that has fully thawed and reached room temperature.

Storage

How should I store my pasties?

Place your pasties in the freezer as soon as they arrive. Keep them frozen at −18 °C or below.

How long can I keep them in the freezer?

For best quality, consume within the best-before date printed on the individual packaging.

Can I refreeze a pasty once it has thawed?

No. Once a pasty has been fully defrosted it should not be refrozen. If you want to defrost before cooking, remove from the packaging then transfer to the fridge overnight and cook within 24 hours.

Cooking

How do I cook my pasties?

Full cooking instructions — including oven temperatures and timings for cooking from frozen or from chilled — are covered in our dedicated guide: How to Cook Vegan Pasties Perfectly →

Allergens & Ingredients

Do your pasties contain allergens?

Our pasties contain gluten (wheat flour in the pastry) and may contain traces of other allergens depending on the variety. Full allergen information is listed on each product page and on the packaging. Always read the label before consuming, especially if you have a food allergy or intolerance.

What is cross-contact, and could it affect me?

Cross-contact occurs when an allergen is unintentionally transferred from one food to another during production. Our pasties are made in a kitchen that handles common allergens including gluten, mustard, and celery. If you have a severe allergy, please contact us before ordering so we can advise on current production conditions.

Vegan & Ethical Credentials

Are all your pasties vegan?

Yes. Every pasty we make is 100% plant-based — no meat, dairy, eggs, or other animal-derived ingredients. We are a dedicated vegan bakery.

Are your products palm-oil-free?

Yes. We do not use palm oil or palm-oil derivatives in any of our products. We source plant-based fats that are free from palm oil.

Choosing Your Size

What is the difference between small and medium pasties?

Our small pasties are a lighter option — ideal as a snack, a starter, or for younger appetites. Our medium pasties are a generous, satisfying meal-size portion. As a rough guide:

  • Small – great for snacking, lunchboxes, or pairing with a side
  • Medium – the classic Cornish-style main meal; filling and hearty

If you are unsure, the medium is our most popular choice and the one most customers reach for as their everyday pasty.

Frequently asked questions

What is the return policy?

Our goal is for every customer to be totally satisfied with their purchase. If this isn't the case, let us know and we'll do our best to work with you to make it right. However due to the perishable nature of our products we cannot accept returns. For full details refer to our terms and conditions.
